  1. Can you explain why this stance deals singnificantly less autoattack damage per hit than any other stance with equal atk/ar/penetration values? The spacebar damage is heavily nerfed for some reason.

    1. It's not. It has a weird mechanic for a dual weapon since the per-hit damage is calculated halving the sum of the damage done by both weapons, whereas for most other dual weapon stances, per-hit damage is shown independently per weapon. This brings another advantage to Furious: normally, crits for dual weapon stance are independent. That means if one weapon crits, that particular weapon is the only one that deals double damage, even if the other weapon's damage is shown in purple. Furious on the other hand, if one weapon crits, BOTH weapons automatically deal double damage.

      All in all, if you maximize Cruise's damage potential, his dps will be ridiculously high, possibly even trumping JD's on Crescent, depending on the enemy.

    2. I have to say I'm kind of disappointed with him so far. The crit thing is nice, however JD will also crit 4x with every swing since he's using 1 weapon. :( I think they need to give cruz a better formula for spacebarring so he can at least be king in light armor dps. thanks for the clarification though

    3. Let me explain further. Damage per cycle is more relevant than damage per hit. All stances except for one are locked at a maximum of 2.5 cycles per second. That's 40 ASPD for one-hit cycle stances, 20 for two-hit, 13 for three-hit, and so on. Cruise, since he hits five times per cycle, is the only guy who has a maximum of 8 ASPD.

      Now, for the stance. Furious recently got buffed, base ATK went up (from 175% to 200%), and his Wolf's Rage buff cooldown went down from 35s to 5s. He doesn't even need the first one since between those, he's already a PvE monster, increasing his normal attack damage by 2-3k per hit on critical on racial+AR pair, that's 10-15k per cycle, and that's like +20-30k damage per second assuming 50 crit. And that's just on his own with ET. Then there's the fact that you can now maintain constant Wolf's Rage even when skilling, something that makes him a better PvPer, and he's already an above average PvP character before this buff happened. Buff him more and he'll just turn into an almighty god, able to surpass JD in everything PvE-wise, and become a top-tier PvP character in the process. The fact that he has a cheap AR option by way of an atk/AR off-hand weapon allows him to raid in higher mid-tier PvE with cheap weapons, an edge all dual weapon users have over single weaps. He isn't JD yes, but he's definitely a good char to start with as a noob BH spammer. Swords are cheap as fk.
